Sicky Icky

A project I did for one of my technology classes. The project was to use a barcode in a any image you created. Here is the final result and who knew barcodes could make such a nice flat top?

I am famous!

I have reached the peak of my stardom...I made it into my school's newspaper.

I was asked by a good friend of mine if I wanted to feature my art in this week's Point Weekly and of course I obliged! I wrote about my fishhook bearded sailor and my fancy flamingo!

Here is a quote I wrote when I was describing myself as an artist:

" I am intrigued by ordinary creation and all of its minute details. I believe that all things are whimsically made and I try to capture this in my work. I am able to share my belief with anyone who views my art."

If you want to read rest of the article (I am not to sure if I would even call it that) here's a link:

Bison and a marbled globe

This weekend my boyfriend and I rearranged/decorated his room. An estate sale marble globe, a dollar sailboat poster, a free dresser, and a bison painting later...here it is:
one wall

The bison! Black acrylic paint on cardboard.

My estate find! Each country is a different color of marble

The free dresser and the sailing painting/poster. Too classy for our own good corner.

PS i would HIGHLY recommend double clicking on the bison to see all the details.

Fisherman

Here are two versions of a fisherman I drew for my good friend Drew:

This is the original pen drawing

This is NOT the best paint job and was sloppily done
but I still think it enhances the illustration

Disposable

Since my camera has been broken I have been using a Kodak disposable camera. I got my film developed yesterday and I am super stoked how they turned out.

Heres the images I have snapped from the past two weeks:
