Indian War Whoop
I decide that if I had a soundtrack for my life, this song would definitely be on the list.

Mail Art
Tonight I was watching the Spark on PBS and they were talking about mail art. I never heard of mail art before today but Im glad I did! Mail art is basically another medium that underground artist use to get their art exposed. They make their own stamps, decorate the envelopes, send drawings, make collages, and more. Ahhhh! I think its super neat and I am going hopefully start doing it! But probbbbbably after I come back form Europe.
John Held Jr an artist on the show, collects and sends mail art himself. He had this to say which I found super interesting:
"I love getting this art in the mail ... the mailbox is a museum, so this is like going to the opening of a show."
Sooooo if you want more information on this episode here you go
And to exchange art with other mail artists:

Fresh Air
Had a interesting conversation that really made me realize what today's "what I'm grateful for" and will be grateful for the rest of my life. I am grateful for God's love and what His love does for me.
Despite all the prejudices religion brings and all the confusion of Christianity, there is one verse that I think is refreshing for all believers and God lovers:
Psalms 46:10
"Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
This is simply a breath of fresh air. "Be still and know that I am God."

As of now...
San Franzisco
Cant believe its been two years since I lived in 350 Arballo. It feels just like yesterday that I woke up in my hardwood floored apartment and with fog peering in every window. I visited my old roommate Angela and explored SF some more just like old times. Its funny how every time I come back to San Fran, I find something or go somewhere I have never seen.
So today's adventure led us to take the M Line (of course do we even take anything else?) to Castro. Seriously, I could live there.
In true Angelakristina style, we had no plan on what to do but we somehow ended up at Dolores park. It is absolutely breathtaking and its just a whole new vibe I have yet to experience in the city. I am definitely going back with a good book and hot tea. yes please.
So we left the park to find some dinner and we happened to run into Samovar tea lounge. I am SOOOO happy we did. ONE I have been wanting to go to this place for over a year. TWO I did not know there was other locations!! THREE I LOVE TEA. ahhhhh it was such a good way to end the day! If you EVER go to SAN FRANCISCO and you like TEA. Go to Samovar Tea Lounge.
I went to the one on mission and castro. But to find out other locations or to get more info (trust me you will NOT regret it) you can find it here.
I would recommend the white Bai Mudan tea. And Angela really liked her iced Jasmine tea lemonade.
Ok annnnd the food was great! The menu was vegan friendly and had all sorts of sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. I had the raw honeycomb cheese and fruit platter. so good.
So in conclusion, I miss San Fran and sometimes I wonder why I even left it.

Nathalie Lete at Anthro
Nathalie Lete is amazing at ceramics and I love all her detail in her work. Anthropologie is selling her pieces. Although they are in a high in price, they are nice to look at. Anthro has her bio and her other work here.
And now for some real life.....I brought home some lilies and made dinner. I love cooking and I need my own kitchen asap! My mom and I had grilled asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper, and some lemon juice squeezed on top. Then some spinach and ricotta cheese raviolis. and topped it off with a nice glass of wine.
